The Birthday Cat!

Tonks the cat

In 2015 I adopted a beautiful black cat called Tonks.  Yes, she is named after Nymphadora Tonks from Harry Potter.  It was the name that she had when I adopted her, and I think it really suits her.  I was thinking of changing her name to Bobbie, but when I went to collect her, the name Tonks stayed, and I’m pleased that it did!  She has so many nicknames.  Too many to bore you with, apart from The Tonks, Tonsky as our little boy calls her and finally, she gets called Tonks la Bonce.  And yes, I do sing to her as well, but I am not a good singer at all ha!

This is a picture of her 20 mins after she came to her forever home with me.  A very content cat.  She likes “the husband” and is tolerating our little boy as he’s growing up and will spend some time with Penny.  I do think that she’d prefer it if it was just her without Penny…they do get a long most of the time, but like Joey from Friends, Tonks does not share food!

To celebrate her 13th Birthday she got some extra Dreamies and she stayed out late!

I on the other hand, went to Rowley on Saturday.  I went for a long walk with my sister and our friends and then went for a pub tea which was delicious but didn’t fill the gap so had a massive slice of red velvet cake, which I also took home and finished off before bed.  They were staying in a cottage in Rowley which was lovely, but I came home as nothing better than sleeping in your own bed 😊

I am very excited to announce that The Grumpy Goat Soap Company will be travelling to the northeast to Kingston Park.  Tan-Tastic is going to be my new stockist of Wax Melts from the start of November, which is just in time to start stocking up on Christmas wax melts for your home.  Tan-Tastic will be stocking wax melts that aren’t available on the website, you lucky people of Kingston Park!

To know more about Tan-Tastic please click here.  Thank you very much to Tan-Tastic for being a stockist of Grumpy Goat wax melts.

Over the next few weeks, I will be sharing on my Facebook/Instagram page some of the new Christmas fragrances that will be available from 1st November, I have tested quit a few now and I already have my favourites which include Nutcracker, Apple and Cinnamon and Christmas Tree.  These fragrances are beautiful, and the Christmas Tree fragrance smells like a Christmas tree and if I wasn’t melting Tricks and Treats, Christmas Tree would be in my burner.  And the husband says it too soon for the house to smell like Christmas!  I don’t think so, I’ve been watching terrible Christmas movies since the start of September, they are so bad they are good!

Thanks, Mel (AKA the Grumpy Goat) xx
