Christmas at The Grumpy Goat Soap Company
It’s Thursday the 21 December and I’ve just settled down to do some cross stitch when my husband told me, why not do blog?
So here I am, sat on the sofa with 2 cats sat near me and I’ve just put on a terrible Hallmark Christmas movie, it’s called ‘Snowmance’, so you know it’s going to be quality viewing!
When I started The Grumpy Goat Company, I was all set to do a blog each week, and that has not happened at all haha. I didn’t think that the company would take off as well as it has and today is the first day that I have had the time so get the laptop out and get writing!
So much has happened since the launch in September. Halloween came and went and the Halloween collection was a great hit and as soon as the 1st November came, the launch of the Christmas Collection started. 18 beautiful Wax Melts and they have all sold so well with quite a few selling out very quickly. I also started making Christmas Gift Boxes, these were boxes that I created myself and ones that were bespoke to my customers’ requirements. As soon as that went live on the website, I had so many orders that I sold out of wax burners. Thankfully I now have a wholesale company who I can purchase from.
I now have 3 stockists. Tan-Tastic in Kingston Park (Newcastle upon Tyne), E.S Hairdressing (Cumbria) and Under a Spell (Redcar). How absolutely phenomenal to have achieved that in the 3 months!
I’ve now started to expand my product line with the introduction of Bubble Bars! Bubble bars are like bath bombs, but instead of fizzing like bath bombs, they fill the bath with bubbles. These are made with shea butter, olive oil and fragranced with a selection of essential oils. So far, I have made 2 bubble bars to add to the collection which is lavender and Lemon. They are both beautifully fragranced and my husband and our little boy are firm fans.
Once that collection is complete then I will be working on bath soaks. These sound so relaxing and they are a combination of salts, milk, botanicals and essential oils, I can’t wait to make a start on these.
In January I’ll be completing The Romance Collection of wax melts. This a collection of 5 heart shaped wax melts that are decorated in dried rose petal and are fragranced as, Pink Pepper and Rose, Black Iris and Musk, Velvet and Oud, Damson Plum, Rose and Patchouli and finally Black Plum and Rhubarb. I currently have Black Iris and Musk on the go and it’s gorgeous.

I want to take the time to say thank you very much for all your support since The Grumpy Goat. With each order, it reassures me that I am creating some wonderful wax melts and soaps and I can’t wait to make more as next year progresses.
