Frequently asked Questions
Q. How quick do you deliver?
A. I will be using a courier service with tracking of all deliveries. If the item is in stock, it will be processed within 2 working days (as long as payment has cleared) and then up to 3-4 working days for courier to deliver. I will notify you that your item has been taken to the courier drop off. I will try and fulfil orders over a weekend, but anything bought on a Saturday or Sunday will likely to be processed on the next working day. This is the same if there are Bank Holidays.
Q. What Wax do you use for your wax melts?
A. I use 2 different bands and alternate between the two depending on supplier availability;
- EcoSoy Wax Pillar Blend
Natural, Vegan, Cruelty Free, Non-Toxic, Biodegradable, Sustainable and Made in the UK.
- EcoSystem RCX Melt Blend
Rapeseed oil and Coconut oil, Vegan Friendly, Additive Free, Non GMO, Palm Free, Soy Free, Kosher and Halal.
Q. Why do you use Fragrance Oils rather than essential oils in your wax melts?
A. I prefer the scent throw that is given from fragrance oils compared to essentials oils which to me, arenβt strong enough. And I love the huge variety of fragrances you can get from fragrance oils, there are some weird and whacky smells out there that canβt be made naturally.
Q. Why donβt all of your wax melts have the same flowers in them?
A. All the petals that I add to my wax melts, which are cornflowers in various colours and calendula have all been grown in the allotment, so depending on my haul from the allotment will depend on what colours I can add to my wax melts. Towards September the flowers will die off and I canβt grow anymore until the following, year so like the camomile that I add to some of my wax melts I purchase these through my supplier.
Q. Why does my wax melt look white?
A. The white is called frosting and naturally occurs with soy wax melts and soy candles. Although the frosting does not affect the wax melt in anyway other than the slight discolouration, some can be put off with the visual affect it has. I test my wax melts before I sell them and will adjust the ingredients, so frosting is at a minimum, but I canβt guarantee that this wonβt happen, if I donβt like how the frosting looks on the wax melt then I donβt sell them and will use as samples, or I will gift to family and friends.
Q. Do you buy products tested on animals?
A. Absolutely not!! I canβt make that clear enough that products that have been tested on animals will have no place on my website. I make sure that the products that I purchase are from reputable suppliers, are cruelty free and vegan. If they canβt provide that guarantee, then I wonβt purchase from them. I also donβt test any of my products on animals eitherβ¦β¦they are all tested on my family hahaha! And itβs willingly as well I like to add hahaha!!
Q. Is all of your packaging recyclable?
A. All of the packaging that I use is recyclable and/or biodegradable, even down to the biodegradable sticky tape I use to wrap my parcels. However, some of the wrapping that covers my glycerine soap isnβt. I have tried and tested many products to use to protect the glycerine soaps, including, wax paper and recyclable cling film but they donβt protect the soap like shrink wrap can and I have not been able to source biodegradable or recyclable shrink wrap, but this is absolute work in progress. Because I am small business, large companies wonβt supply to me on small scale and the cost they would charge is astronomical.
Glycerine soaps can sweat, which is why you canβt wrap them in the same packaging as natural soap (craft paper or boxes). But, hopefully in the near future that question can be asked, and the answer will be 100% yes!!!
